A few things we don't do.

We're explicit about fit. To save us both time, here's what's not a fit:

Equity-only engagements

We work on cash. Equity arrangements distort incentives and complicate the relationship.

Fee-for-introduction work

We don't take fees for connecting clients to other firms or vendors. Our recommendations are independent.

Pure staff augmentation without senior judgment

We're not a body shop. If the work is "just give us a developer for six months with no senior oversight," we're not the right partner.

Engagements that require us to misrepresent capability

We disclose delivery posture during scoping, including AI use, named practitioners, and any approved specialist support. Contract terms govern confidentiality, data handling, and client approval requirements. We can't take engagements that require us to claim otherwise.

Work outside our practice areas

We do finance, technology, and strategy. We don't do brand design, advertising, legal counsel, tax preparation, or executive search. We'll happily refer you to firms that do.

WHERE WE WORK

A distributed firm with global reach.

PluggedIn Advisory is a distributed firm. Our practitioners work from multiple geographies, mobilized to client engagements wherever the work calls for them. Our administrative office is in Wyoming. For client engagements, we work on-site, hybrid, or fully remote depending on what the work demands. Most engagements are hybrid — periodic on-site working sessions paired with continuous remote delivery.
